Studio Ambassador & Social Media Assistant
Program Description
Do you want to be a role model for our young dancers and possibly a dance teacher in the future? Do you love social media and want to be a part of creating the studio's social platforms? This is the place to start learning the skills necessary and building the relationships that will lead you down the right path!
This program has many benefits such as; giving back to the dance community, making connections with staff, learning valuable skills, volunteering hours for high school students and more!
This program the selected applicant will be partnered with several staff members/classes and work on growing your leadership, teaching style, and dance knowledge. They will assist administration staff in creating content for social media platforms and learning the basics of communication and marketing. The goal of this program is to train this dancer and begin the process of training a new RDC staff member. Following 1-2 years of this program we hope to transition the intern(s) to become a substitute and/or an administrative staff member. In addition to this the intern(s) may be placed with staff to continue their mentorship on how to structure and teach dance classes.
Dancers within this program will receive several perks within the season such as a partial scholarship for classes at RDC.

Job Description
- Social Media Assistant
- Manage communication within social media inboxes
- Interact with posts & comments throughout platforms
- Frequently post Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat stories
- Publish previously scheduled social media posts
- Create content & brainstorm new concepts for posts
- Studio Ambassador
- Strong role model for younger dancers
- Tutorial video demonstrator
- Assisting staff in creating tutorial videos/filming
- Present on personal social media in regards to being an ambassador for RDC
- Teaching Assistant
- Assisting teachers in running dance class(es)
- Helping with across the floor, dancer corrections, warm ups, and more
Time Commitment & Requirements
- Age 14 or older by December 31
- Committed to dancing at RDC for the upcoming dance year (preferably on the Company Team)
- Assistant Teaching one or more classes in the 2021-2022 dance season
- Available to film 3-8 hours a month as a demonstrator for student tutorial videos (timetable flexible)
- Independently spend time interacting on RDC social media platforms
- Biweekly checkins with administration staff in regards to content creation
