Acrobatic Arts - Chest Stands
Only those registered in Acro 3 (Saturdays at 2:30) should participate in this class due to safety precautions. It is recommended you have an adult with you during this class so they can be your 'mirror' and watch for lengthening in the spine.
While completing this class take plenty of pause breaks to practice each bridge skill on its own 4 to 8 times at your own pace. Be sure to also give yourself several break between skills.
Join Sarah as she takes you through safety and progressions for chest stands and all the contorting that comes along with it. The discussion includes various achievable shapes in a chest stand, how to progress to the more difficult positions, and which of your dancers are strong enough to endure these positions.
Acrobatic Arts is the industry leader in foundational acro dance training.
