Nikki Nie - Yoga: Mastering The Mind
Being a dancer can bring on lots of physical and mental stress, and Nikki would like to help you put those stresses at ease. This slow-paced yoga practice is perfect to use before you begin your dancing day.
Nikki Nie is a multi-disciplinary yoga instructor, primarily practicing Tantric Hatha Yoga. Before she became a yoga instructor, she was a successful performer in the commercial dance industry. Nikki’s film credits include Bring It On: In It to Win It, Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, Alvin and the Chipmunks 2, and We Are Your Friends. Nikki has performed alongside Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Eminem, Willow Smith, and Sean Kingston. She was also part of the NBA Clippers Spirit, the official dance team of the Los Angeles Clippers.
In 2017 Nikki traveled to Bali, Indonesia, to study at The Practice in Canggu, completing 500 hours to become a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. There, Nikki studied with Octavio Salvado and Karina Guthrie, two of the most esteemed instructors in the Sri Vidya lineage. Nikki’s practice is deeply rooted in Tantric Hatha, but she has also studied Yin Yoga, Reiki, Yoga Nidra, meditation, mantra, aromatherapy, chakra balancing, energy management, and pranayama. Through her classes she encourages positive healing energy, empowering her students in all aspects of their lives.
